It's been a while since we had our "stay-cation", but I'm a really big slacker and I'm just now getting around to blogging about it. We went up to Pineview for the weekend with Chase's family. We had a blast hanging out at the lake and playing on the wave runners. Chase and I drove up on a Thursday afternoon and met Bill and Jake. We set up our temp. camp (we had to move the next night) and went to bed. The next morning the boys were all planning on getting up early and going fishing, but that didn't happen. They decided their sleep was more important. Kinda what I was thinking. The boys took the wave runners and put them in the lake. We all took turns driving around and having fun before we needed to pack camp up and before everyone else got there. When we went to get the wave runners later that afternoon to move them closer to camp #2 they wouldn't start. We couldn't figure out what could be going on since they had just replaced the batteries. Turns out, they boys were so excited to get those things on the lake that they forgot to put the plugs in and they flooded . BUMMER! They had to spend the rest of the day on shore draining. (Luckily they started up just fine the next day and everyone else got a turn playing on them.) As our first camping trip with Ryder, it was a success! He did really well. Slept well. Napped well. The only real problem was that he got a little hot during the day. He got a little heat rash and we had to spend a little bit of time driving around the camp site with him in the air conditioned car. After that he was just fine. We definitely want to try to go camping again this summer before it gets to cool.
