Last year was my first time going to Lava Hot Springs. Chase had been telling me about how much fun it was. He and his buddies who he went to BYU Idaho with would take little trips over because it was so close, and lets face it, there's not a whole lot to do in Rexburg. Chase was right. We had a blast! We swam in the natural hot springs at the Inn we stayed at, went to the karaoke bar on Main Street and watched all the drunk people make fools out of themselves. Then we went to an Olympic sized pool and played. The boys jumped off the platforms and we all played sand volleyball. My favorite part of the trip was floating the river. It was so much fun!I've been wanting to go back ever since. My Mom and Hannah have really been wanting to go too, so we looked at Hannah's ridiculous work schedule and found a day that would work. My Grandma and Grandpa joined us which was really nice. My Grandma watched Ryder at the park and my Grandpa would pick Me, Mom and Hannah up at the end of the river and drive us back up for another go. It was way nice that we didn't have to walk all the way back up! The highlights of the trip would definitely have to be my Mom losing her tube in the river and getting attacked my an otter. No joke. An otter. No one believed me when I said that there was an otter in the river until it swam right to my Mom's feet. You should have heard her scream and jump out. I don't remember the last time I saw my Mom freak like that. Unfortunately our trip was cut short because it started to rain. We'll have to check the weather before we go next time!
