What I come home to...
I had to run our HOA check over to our HOA Pres. last night. When I got back into the house, this is what I found. Chase had set Ryder up in the chair. Apparently he wanted to be a big boy and sit up by himself. Love my Boys!

*I promise Ryder doesn't always make this face. It's just the one that is caught on camera most often. He will be giving me the biggest, gummiest smile and as soon as he sees the camera, this is what we get.

Good Bye to "You "
Good Bye Mullet. It was definitely your time to go. I had mixed emotions about you going at first, but I'm glad your gone. Now Ryder looks more like a little boy and not a newborn. It's funny how hard it is to finally decide to cut your babies hair for the first time. I felt like he was too young to need a haircut. As you can see in the pictures, he wasn't. He had a nice mullet going on. My Dad has been calling it a mullet (you know like ballet, or buffet) for the past couple of weeks. I guess he thinks it sounds classier than the original pronunciation.
I finally made my decision to cut his hair on Sunday. Chase and I teach primary. There are 5 boys in our class between 7 and 8 years old. They are all pretty funny. Each Sunday is spenttrying to make Chase and I laugh. Sometimes we get to teach them a lesson, but it's a challenge. So this Sunday the boys proceed to tell me that Ryder's hair makes him look like a leprechaun, he's just missing the beard... I think they were expecting a big laugh out of this one. Not so. I was not amused. It took me awhile, and now I think it's hilarious. They called him "Leprechaun Ryder" the rest of the day. I think they may be a little disappointed when we show up to church on Sunday and Ryder has a hair cut. They got a pretty big kick out of his new nickname.
July
There is just something that I love about the Month of July. The Fireworks. The BBQs. Swimming. The Heat. Family Parties. Baseball games... I love it! It makes me feel like a kid again.
Here is some of our fun so far...We went to Taylorsville Dayz with a group of friends the last weekend in June, and on the 3rd we went to the Browns house to watch the Eaglewood Fireworks. They have people over every year for a BBQ and to watch fireworks but this is the time year that we have been able to go. This is the first year since we started dating that Chase hasn't worked at the golf course. Everyone who works there has to work the night of the fireworks show to keep people off the greens. I really didn't miss that!
